Description

2017 Victory Vegas – First opening its doors in 1997, Victory was owned by Polaris Industries (who are better known for snowmobiles and off-road four-wheelers) and was set up as a direct rival to Harley-Davidson. Also American-based, Victory took a different path to Harley and always aimed their bikes at a younger, more radical customer who put performance at the forefront of their shopping list as much as style. Great-looking and fast, Victory bikes were a reasonable success story but in 2017 as sales stagnated, Polaris decided to pull the plug on the operation and instead put their focus on a new two-wheeled brand – Indian Motorcycles, which they bought in 2011. With Indian having the heritage that Victory lacked, this was probably the right move but for fans of these unique cruisers, it remains a shame that the company was wound up. If you want a stand-out performance cruiser, Victory’s offerings remain right up there and always turn heads in any carpark.

This Victory Vegas was one of the last ever produced before the manufacturer was closed. While we normally use this section to discuss options and condition, this cruiser is pretty simple to cover. It is offered in the striking Sunset Red and has seen only 2,500 miles since new! The ride to the photo shoot was our first time on Victory and we were very impressed with this one. It rides remarkably well and sounds great cruising down the highway. Power is derived from the 106 Freedom V-twin Engine paired to a 6-Speed Overdrive transmission. An upgraded seat, dual saddle bags, and a detachable windshield are all present to enhance the cruising experience. We love the enhanced look provided by the color-matched frame and the 18″/21″ Falcion Alloy Wheels. If yu in the market for a nice cruiser for under $9k, this 2017 Victory Vegas will not disappoint!
