1996 GMC Sierra 1500 – V8, Auto, Bucket Seats, Bedliner, Alarm, LED Interior Lighting, Tonneau Cover, New 454SS Rims/Tires, Recent High End Paint!
1996 GMC Sierra 1500 – Thanks to the tough-guy look of the Dodge Ram pickup and the rounded mod-squad shape of the Ford F-Series pickup in the same era, the Chevrolet and GMC C/K full-size pickups suddenly looked like the old kids on the block. Yet, in truck years, the General Motors full-size pickups aren’t really that old. The design was first introduced in 1988 as a completely new offering inside and out, and even today it looks clean, crisp and contemporary. GM’s introduction of the Vortec engines added a lot more power under the hood. In horsepower, the 4.3-liter V6 has more than the previous 5.0-liter V8, the 5.0-liter V8 has more than the previous 5.7, and the 5.7 has more than the previous 7.4. The 7.4 is also way up. Across the board, torque figures are up about 10 to 20 lb.-ft. The interior redesign for 1995 was a welcome change. Gone are the flat surfaces and square corners, replaced by flowing curves and a significant increase in function.
The 1988-1998 Old Body Style “OBS” trucks are one of the most rapidly appreciating segments of the truck market. If you waited to long to get a deal on an Action Line or Squarebody series truck, these 4th generation GM trucks present an opportunity to get ahead of the investment curve. Where else can you find a truck with a unique look that will maintain its value and will be a “classic” in just a few years. The 25 years old categorization as a classic entitles you to discounts on registration, inspections, and most importantly insurance. So now that we’ve clarified why these trucks are the ones to own, lets discuss why this pristine 1996 Sport Side is the one you want to own. This Sierra recently received a high-end repaint job and is extremely clean inside and out. It has just the right stance, a brand new set of chrome 454ss rims, and is in top mechanical condition. The interior has had all the lights upgraded with LEDs and the exhaust flows through a set of Flowmaster mufflers. A complete list of features and options include; 5.7L Vortec V8, Auto, 2WD, Spray-In Bedliner, Tonneau Cover, Maroon Cloth Buckets Seats, A/C, Airbags, Viper Alarm (w/Auto Start), Keyless Entry, ABS Brakes, Center Console Storage, Color-matched Bumpers/Mirrors, Chrome Grill, Cruise Control, Rubber Floormats, Power Windows/Locks/Mirrors, Power Driver Seat, Factory AM/FM/CD, Tilt Steering, Tinted Windows, Owners Manual, 15″ Factory 454ss Wheels, and brand new 275/50/R15 Raised White Letter Tires!
