1990 Chevy 454SS (58k Miles) – 454 V8, Auto, Buckets, Power Windows/Locks, 2″/4″ Drop, New Tires, Excellent Condition!
1990 Chevy 454SS (58k Miles) – Look out, world: here comes the 1990–93 Chevrolet 454 SS hot rod pickup. It’s been a glowing dot on our radar for months now, buoyed by the interest of younger buyers. The big-block performance pickup has lived its entire life in the shadow of the GMC Syclone and Typhoon — but three decades after its debut, the 454 is finally getting some marketplace respect. GM already had a winner with its 1988 C/K1500 series pickups, but something seemed to be missing from the domestic auto industry, and that was muscle. So Chevy took a 454-cubic-inch Mark IV big block and put it into a short-bed, regular-cab, half-ton pickup. Although the V-8 produced only 230 horsepower, it had plenty of torque—385 lb-ft—and that kind of force pushed the truck from 0–60 mph in less than 8 seconds!
At Texas Trucks & Classics we pride ourselves on inventorying some of the nicest OBS trucks on the market. If it has low miles, a rare option package, or has been nicely restored …. we scoop them up quickly and send them to new homes just as fast. So it’s only fitting that we keep a few of the highly desirable 454ss trucks in inventory. This exceptional example was purchased locally and is still very original. The previous owner completed a 2″/4″ drop and the truck looks to have been repainted at some point in its recent past. The truck shows very well and everything works like it should. We wouldn’t hesitate to drive this Chevy any distance. Features and options include; 454 V8, Auto, Bucket Cloth Seats, Power Windows/Locks, 2″/4″ Drop, A/C, Center Console Storage, Cruise Control, Cloth Floormats, Fog Lights, Factory AM/FM/Cassette w/EQ, Sliding Rear Window, Tinted Glass, Tilt Steering, Spare Tire, 15″ Chrome 454ss Rims, and New 235/60 R15 Raised White Letter Tires!
