1983 Ford E-100 Econoline – The 1983 model year marked a major redesign for the Econoline line, moving away from its previous design. It transitioned from a unibody construction to a front-engine layout. The van was built on the F-Series truck platform, incorporating parts like the Twin-I-Beam front suspension. This new front-engine layout and increased wheelbase created more interior space and offered improved handling characteristics. The van was available with a range of engines, including the 7.5L V8 OHV 16V on some variations. The 1983 model offered a variety of configurations, with at least seven variations available.
