1980 Chevy C10 Cheyenne – Even though Chevy started making trucks in 1918, it brought the style into a new era in 1960 with the release of the C/K series of pickups (which was also shared with GMC). The most famous is the C10, a completely new type of two-wheel-drive half-ton short-bed pickup. This truck sat lower to the ground and drove more like a car, and the independent front suspension made for a smoother ride — though you could still opt for a Stepside-style bed as opposed to the straight-through Fleetside. Thoroughly redesigned from stem to stern, the all-new third generation C/K trucks for 1973 proved to be the longest lived series in Chevrolet’s history and the three-box styling has proved quite popular since. Aside from wheels and hubcaps, there really wasn’t much that was round anywhere in the design other than the body sides that featured a sculpted character line with a central plateau panel as well as curved side glass, a first on a GM truck. 1980 had a one-year-only front end with a flatter front grille and square headlights. It proved to be a preview for 1981 and the rest of the production run, with an all new simplified front clip, new hood, and single plane grille.

This cool cruiser made it’s way to TX in 2020 after spending it’s first 40 years in CA. While it was initially slatted to for a complete restoration, we decided instead to complete just the basic needs. This obviously kept our expenses low and leave plenty of room for the new owner to complete as they desire. The vintage camper is a great addition and while it could probably stand to be recarpeted, it is a really unique. It can be set up as a large bed or seats with a table. The rear features a walk though door or hinges upward if a larger access entry is needed. If you decide to ditch the camper all together, the original tailgate is included with this sale. The paint, a/c, and interior could all use attention but the carpet, brakes, and tune-up are all fresh and new.
