1980 Cadillac Sedan DeVille – Aerodynamic alterations gave DeVilles a more streamlined profile this year. The new, traditional-style “isolated” grille was made up of narrow vertical bars, peaked forward at the center. A Cadillac script was on the side of the heavy upper header, New flush-mount quad rectangular headlamps stood above new amber-lensed horizontal parking/signal lamps. Matching cornering lamps consisted of a large rectangular lens over a small horizontal one: one followed the line of the headlamps, the other wrapped around in line with the signal lamps. Wheel openings showed a squared-off, formal look. The rear roof pillar held a Cadillac “V” and crest, plus script nameplate. New wheel covers displayed Cadillac’s crest on a dark red background. DeVilles came in 21 body colors. Both DeVille and Brougham had a stiffer roof profile this year, with a sharpened crease line running the full length of the side. Decklids also had a higher profile, with beveled rear surface. The new roofline added two inches of legroom in the back seat.
