1978 Chevy C20 Bonanza – Classic trucks only continue to grow in popularity, and the third-generation Chevrolet and GMC C/K trucks are no exception. Produced from 1973 until 1987, the style of these particular pickups is commonly referred to as the box body or square body Chevy. Formally dubbed the “Rounded-Line” generation, this was one of the longest-running generations of pickups produced by Chevy. Since they were in production for a 14-year period, they are less rare than other classic Chevy trucks, such as the 1967-1972 Action Line or “Glamour Pickups” that were only available for a few short years. Because they are easily accessible and affordable, restoring box body Chevys has become popular in the decades since their initial release.

We rarely look for long bed trucks to add to our inventory. In fact, we weren’t searching at all when this beauty fell into our lap. A fellow fan of classic trucks located this vehicle for us on his neighbors driveway. It had been there since new! The time had come to part with the truck and we jumped on the opportunity. Everything about this truck is original with exception of a JVC AM/FM/Cassette player that has been added at some point. If was repainted in the original Seamist Green in apprx 2010. The bed was flawless but someone had done a speckle paint job at some point that was very faded. We installed a high-end bedliner to protect the bed from any future damage or where. As you can see in the photos, the truck has been very well serviced in recent years. We wouldn’t hesitate to drive it any distance with cold a/c in your face or heat to warm your toes.
