1992 Chevy Camaro Z28 (Heritage Edition) – 1992 was the 25th anniversary for the Camaro, and marked an end for not only the 3rd generation body style but, as well as ceasing production from the Van Nuys, California plant.  Sadly, the final Camaro coming from the Van Nuys plant was built on August 28, 1992; after which the plant was shuttered, and eventually demolished.  The total volume of the 1992 Camaro production run at Van Nuys would reach 70,007 units. A grand total of 8,197 Camaros would be produced with the 25th Anniversary Heritage Edition Package.  The Z03 Heritage Edition Package included 1st generation Camaro style hood and rear deck lid stripes, a body colored grille, black headlamp pockets, and a red 25th anniversary cloisonné badge on the back.  The badge was located slightly differently on the RS verses the Z28.  Both were on the left hand corner, but applied on the spoiler of the RS and hatch back of the Z28.  All 1992 Camaros had 25th Anniversary badge on the dash panel in front of the passenger seat.

Of then 8,197 Heritage Editions produced, only 430 hardtops rolled off the assembly line in red. That low production coupled with low miles is what sets this Z28 apart from others on the market and make it a great long-term investment. This example shows all the signs of being well maintained both cosmetically and mechanically. The only items we found to note are the hinge on the center console is broken and the hood stripes have some small chips. We actually have a brand new set of hood stripes that will accompany this purchase if you choose to install later.
