1972 Chevy C10 Cheyenne -A new, more modern look came for 1967, along with a new nickname: “Action Line”. It was with this revision of the C/K truck that General Motors began to add comfort and convenience items to a vehicle line that had previously been for work purposes alone. Numerous changes occurred in 1971. First came another new grille design (the “egg crate”) for Chevrolet trucks and black paint over portions of the GMC grille. Second, an additional trim package was introduced: the Cheyenne. On GMC models, this was equivalent to the Sierra. These packages consisted mostly of comfort features — nicer interiors, more padding and insulation, carpet, chrome trim, and upper and lower side molding and tailgate trim. 1971 was the first year for AM/FM radios factory installed. Finally, the front brakes on all light-duty trucks were switched from drum brakes to disc brakes, resulting in much less brake fade under heavy use. The 1972 models were very similar to the 1971 models, with the only change being the rear view mirror was glued to the windshield rather than bolted to top of the cab. For years the number of collectors seeking these ’67-72 trucks has been on the rise while the availability of clean examples are getting harder to find.

This beautiful Chevy C10 Cheyenne is a recent addition to our inventory and is a real head-turner! It is a rust free truck and offered in a striking Navy Blue & White color combination. On top of that it features and the nicely upholstered bench with a matching headliner that finish out a clean interior. Other highlights include a very nicely detailed engine bay, Vintage A/C & heat, and digital gauges. As you can see in the photos the steering column/wheel, stereo, hood, lights, exhaust, suspension, and rims/tires have all been upgraded. In preparation for resale the the entire truck was inspected, a/c was serviced, it received a basic tune-up, and new tires were installed on the rear. While the total miles on the truck from new are unknown it does have apprx 1,100 miles since the built was completed. A complete list of options include; 350 V8, Auto, 2WD, Vintage A/C & Heat, Digital Gauges, Custom Bench, Chrome Grill, Chrome Bumpers, Chrome Mirrors, Dual Magnaflow Exhaust, Color-matched Bedliner, Cloth Floormat, Power Steering, Front Disc Brakes, Pioneer AM/FM/CD, Tilt Chrome Steering Column, Chrome Billet Comfort-grip Wheel, Tinted Glass, Vent Windows, American Racing 18″ Torque Thrusts (20″ in Rear), and Thick ZR-Rated Tires! Underneath the steel cowl hood the engine bay features; Edelbrock Intake/Carb, Headers, Chrome Valve Covers, Chrome Brake Booster, Chrome Alternator, and Electric Fans.

This trucks drives great and we’ve enjoyed cruising in it to some recent car shows around Houston. We didn’t accidently slip up and list a $100k+ build for only $39,900. This truck is much better than 95 % of the ’70-72s short beds you will find in this price range but, it is not a frame-off “trailer queen”. If you are looking for a nicely built ’72 C10 that is fairly priced in todays market, we feel this truck is a great addition to a collection of any size.
